Easton Aluminum Poles provide especially strong support demanded by some tents whilst remaining light in weight - and are used in some of The North Face's tents.

A ripstop version of Esdura that provides the equivalent tear strength to Esdura 600, and an ideal material for the use in backpacks.

A high density 600 denier polyester weave with a rip-stop construction featured in a contrasting colour - used in some Berghaus rucksacks.

A midweight 600 denier polyester which combines an excellent balance of strength, wear resistance, soft handling and low weight for most rucsack and daysac applications except in areas of very high wear.

A lower weight equivalent to Esdura 600 with a matt finish. Used in small Berghaus daysacs.

A mid to lightweight polyester with a special weave to give a two tone effect on your backpack.

A diverse midsole material which is durable, lightweight, and provides responsive cushioning for many peoples walking and rambling needs.

E-Vap suspension has perforated foam back panels which eliminate excess weight and circulate air through airflow channels in your backpack. These channels, embedded in the perforated foam, provide improved breathability and moisture evaporation, keeping the wearer of the backpack cool and comfortable for hiking all day long!

eVent is considered amongst the most breathable direct venting waterproof fabric on the market today, and has allowed outdoordesigns to produce a range of fully protective mountaineering gloves that maintain comfort levels previously only dreamt of. This is a feature used in some of The North Face sleeping bags that have been designed for extreme cold conditions. An oversized top draft hood, heat-trap collar, a leash closure and a ground-level zipper ensures that the Expedition Sealed-in Warmth will make your sleeping bag as air tight as possible in the coldest conditions.

Many large rucksacks are fitted with an extendable lid. This gives you up to 25% additional space - particularly useful when first setting up a camp. By adjusting the tension between front and rear lid straps you can angle the extension such that it won't impede head movement.
