website as user-friendly as possible, with no hidden, unfair conditions
or "small print". Everything concerning your orders and our business
with you is mentioned below.
You are not committed to buying anything until YOU
confirm your purchase at the very end. - If you wish to change or cancel your order please telephone during opening
hours (UK time) or send us an e-mail. To help us
with our orders administration, we ask that cancellations and
alterations be made within 24 hours. [Note

FURTHER INFORMATION, DELIVERY SERVICE AND
PRICES
- 'CheapTents' does not
mean that our tents are sub-standard or of low specification. We sell
only top quality specialist tents, but at low prices.
- The shopping facility on this website is secure. We use 128 bit
encryption, a secure server (SSL protocol), and Firewall protection.
Furthermore, to prevent fraud we reserve the right to only despatch
goods to the address to which the payment card is registered.
However, if any customers are still reluctant to purchase online, you
can place your order on-line but give us the payment card information
by fax or telephone. This facility is available as an option during
'Checkout' (access the drop-down menu when asked for 'payment method').
Alternatively, you can do everything by telephone, fax or mail (About Us)
or come into the shop and still get the same low prices (the website
price must be quoted when the order is placed).
- We want to be "user-friendly". If there is
anything you do not like or think can be improved, please tell us.
- Price Validity
We always charge the price
at which you place your order. When there is a price
change it does not apply to orders already placed.
- Prices and VAT (Sales Tax)
- The prices in our product listing tables
include Value Added Tax (VAT) at a rate of 17.5%. This is payable by
all customers within the European Union. The VAT rate for sales to
customers in other parts of the World is zero.
- Our individual product description pages
show both of these prices as well as the "recommended retail price
(RRP)".
- The price in the PRICE column of the shopping
cart listing and your purchase invoice is
without VAT for each individual product. The
VAT is added at the bottom for the whole invoice.
- Delivery Charges
(including
packing and insurance costs)
- These have been simplified and are based on the
total order value (excluding VAT). They are shown in the tables below.
- They are added to your shopping cart listing after
you specify the delivery country for your order.
- Order Acknowledgement
and Availability
- Receipt of your order will be acknowledged
automatically on-line. Please print out this receipt for future
reference.
- Occasionally, certain products may be unavailable
or out of stock, e.g. if any bulk purchases are made of the same
product or if 1000 people order a product at the same time, then not
everybody can be supplied immediately. No money will be taken from the
unsuccessful customers.

Delivery
- To protect you and us from fraud, we reserve the
right to only deliver to the address to which your payment card is
registered.
- We are now using a faster, enhanced delivery
service that can guarantee
delivery within a certain number of days from despatch, depending on
where you live. Below is a table showing the delivery
services we use. Guaranteed delivery times shown are those to most
worldwide destinations. Delivery may take longer to remote places.
- We reserve the right to use airmail letter service
for small packets up to 2kg. The expected delivery time for this
service is 3 days to Western Europe and 4-5 days for all other regions.

You may request a faster, special
delivery service at any time by writing to us, quoting the order number
on your on-line order acknowledgement. The extra cost will be added to
your bill.
- Delivery Date
- If we have the products you have ordered in stock,
we can usually despatch them on the same day and you should expect to
receive them between 1 and 5 days
after placing your order, depending on where you live (see table
above). If you place your order over the weekend, it may take a bit
longer.
- If we have to order the product from the
manufacturer we will send you regular updates via e-mail on the status
of your order, and will provide you with an expected delivery date as
soon as we can.
- We will
not charge your credit/debit card until the day we despatch your order.
- Delivery Date - Special Requests
- If you require delivery by a specific deadline
date, please inform us by filling in the relevent section on your order
form. You can also inform us by separate e-mail after you have placed
your order. If you e-mail us, please quote the order number shown on
your order acknowledgment. We do not allow queue jumping for despatch,
but delivery can be speeded up by using a faster
special delivery service such as courier, at extra cost.
- If we judge that a special delivery service is
necessary, we will ask you before going ahead.
- If we cannot meet your deadline date we will give
you the option to cancel, so long as your order has not already been
despatched and you make your special request within 24 hours of placing
your order.
- Thereafter, if you request a delivery deadline
date which we cannot meet, we will discuss the matter with you and try
to be as accommodating as possible. We will usually allow you to cancel
in such cases also, except in certain circumstances and, particularly,
we do not usually allow cancellations in the case of our special
clearance offers. [Note for UK customers - please refer to the Consumer

Returns
In the rare event of goods being faulty, you will
be entitled to a full refund or exchange (your choice), as soon as we
receive them back from you. You should return the faulty item to us by
the cheapest delivery service. We will refund the cost of this to you.
- Guarantees and After-Sales
Service
- We honour all our manufacturers guarantees and we
will do the work for you if you need to make a claim. You will not have to deal with the
manufacturer - only with us.
- You should also contact us for After-Sales
Service, or if you have any queries, complaints, comments or
suggestions.
- Errors, the Law, and Contract Terms
- We believe that all information contained in our
website is correct. If you spot any errors, please tell us by e-mail or
fax. Occasionally images and product information on our website may not
be correct, for example when changes are made to the product
specification by our suppliers. If you require a particular product
model or feature please contact us so that we can ensure that we are
supplying the correct product.
- We often choose an image that shows the product
with the best clarity and detail. The colour shown in the image may not
be representative of the colours that we have in stock or that are
listed in the colour choice list.
- All communications from us will be by e-mail or
phone unless you specifically request otherwise.
- In case we make a clerical error regarding, for
example, a price, we reserve the right to reject any order, for any
reason. We will notify you as soon as possible if that happens, and you
will be given the opportunity to cancel or re-confirm your order with
the error corrected.
- This website belongs to Adventure Centre Ltd,
which is a company registered in England. All sales contracts are
governed by English Law.

- You have the right to cancel your order at any
time. You must do so in writing by e-mail or fax.
- If your order has already been despatched to you,
you may reject the goods even if they are not faulty, by sending us
notification by e-mail or fax within 8 working days of receiving the
goods.
- If you do this, you will then have two options: -
either, return the goods to us immediately ; or make them available for
us to collect DURING WORKING HOURS. You must tell us, in writing, which
of these two options you wish to choose. If you want us to collect,
then please also telephone to make mutually convenient arrangements.
- In the meantime you must look after the goods and
keep them safe, including the original packing in which they should be
returned, UNUSED.
- If goods which are rejected are not faulty, the
cost of returning them to us is borne by the customer. This also
applies if we have to collect them, in which case we will deduct our
costs from your refund.
- If you decide to arrange the return then please
send us your proof of postage by letter, together with your original
order acknowledgement. This will enable us to trace them if they are
delayed or lost in transit. Please keep a copy of these documents.
- We will re-credit your payment card as soon as the
goods are received back by us.
The
above regulations apply to genuine purchasers/orders only. They are
intended to give customers the chance to change their minds about
purchasing and using goods which they have not seen before ordering. It
is not intended to give customers the opportunity to try out goods. Once an item is used it cannot be rejected,
unless it is faulty.

tables above show packing, delivery and insurance costs for delivering
goods overseas. These prices are valid for delivery of the majority
of the products that we sell, however some products will incur
extra delivery charges. If this is the case we will notify you
by e-mail with the additional delivery cost. If you do not wish
to accept any additional delivery cost you have the right to cancel
your order. Additional delivery costs are likely to apply to items
that are bulky, heavy and of low value. Where possible we
will indicate on the product description if additional delivery
costs are likely to apply.
