Petzl head lamps torches climbing harnesses, helmets climbing equipment

 

Petzl is a French manufacturer of innovative climbing gear, caving gear, at-height work equipment and head lamps / head torches that was created by Fernand Petzl in the mid-1970s. Petzl is reputed for its high-quality, well designed, and importantly for climbers, trusted gear. Due to it's high quality reputation, Petzl head lights and other climbing equipment has been adopted by all sorts of outdoor people, not just climber, including campers, mountain bikers, runners, walkers and travellers.

Petzl is often regarded as the first outdoor manufacturer to utilise light-emitting diode (LED) technology in its headlamps in 2000, resulting in more battery efficient headlamps. This technology was subsequently adopted by many other manufacturers in the outdoor industry. Some Petzl head torches now include xenon halogen bulbs for lighting long distances.
