The Decagon Jacket is a hooded, waterproof jacket. Whilst it is primarily aimed at the skiing and snow boarding market, the Decagon is highly suitable for general outdoor wear too. It has a fashionable urban design and would look great on the street as well as on the slopes! Made from fully seam sealed HyVent 2 fabric, it is waterproof and breathable. As you would expect from The North Face, the Decagon has an array of features that make it both practical and comfortable.Related camping and outdoor news, reviews and advice:
Highlights include, the Gore-Tex Berghaus Temperance jacket (as seen in the image), especially great for seriously active people including climbers, skiers and snowboarders.
Another jacket to take a look at is the 3-in-1 Sprayway Griffin jacket, using their infamous HydroDry fabric and a zip-in fleece, to create a great value longer-length jacket for mountain use…And just £90!

One of my favourite walks was across Sharp Edge in the Lake District. Sharp Edge is a ridge scramble route up to the top of a mountain called Blencathra.
It must have sounded like a good idea at the time!
Being scared of heights I find that scrambling can be unpleasant and I am usually reluctant to take on such challenges. One Sunday morning in August 2003, I received a text message from my walking partner to say that he would be arriving at my house imminently and that we would be going to scramble across Sharp Edge! Apparently I had agreed to this after several pints the previous Friday evening and there was no way that I would be backing out of it. It must have sounded like a good idea at the time.Related camping and outdoor news, reviews and advice:
